Ethiopia was never a place that called be, but when I found myself changing jobs in the beginning of European winter suddenly it emerged as a reasonable and interesting destination. One of the highlights where the Simien Mountains located in the North. Not really wild, but quite different from what I have seen so far in Asia or Europe. Together with three Polish people I met on the spot, armed escort and a cook we went on a 7 days, 100 kms long walk. We started in Debark, rubbed shoulders with Ras Dashen (4550 m) and descended towards Addi Arkay.
